Zero Emission Trucks (ZET) Enablement Workshop in Ranchi

Under the e-FAST Initiative, Smart Freight Centre India hosted a Zero Emission Trucks (ZET) Enablement Workshop in Ranchi today, in collaboration with the Department of Industries, and the Government of Jharkhand. This workshop brought together key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry leaders, and technology experts, to accelerate ZET adoption in India’s medium and heavy-duty truck sector.

The event featured insights from Shri Sushant Gaurav (IAS, Director, Department of Industries Govt of Jharkhand), Shri Nitish Kumar (IFS, DFO, Ramgarh), Shri Ravindra Kumar (Deputy Administrator, Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC), Shri Atilesh Gautam (Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA)), Shri Munna Jha (ASAR), and Dr. Shashidhar Kumar Jha Jha (BODHI Centre for Sustainable Growth), among others. Discussions focused on operational challenges, infrastructure needs, and the economic and environmental benefits of ZETs.

With road freight contributing significantly to India’s emissions, this initiative aims to play a pivotal role in driving a sustainable logistics transition.
