Capacity Building Workshop ZETs in India: Building Capacity, Driving Impact

Date:

India’s trucking sector has a key role to play in its burgeoning economy. As much as 70% of India's domestic freight is moved by medium and heavy-duty trucks (MHDTs). With regards to the transportation of the freight, over 5.7 million trucks are running on Indian roads1 as of January 2024. Over 90% of them are using diesel as fuel, a highly polluting source. Thus, electrification of MHDTs presents untapped opportunities. Transitioning to zero-emission trucks is crucial for achieving climate goals. However, this shift presents challenges for fleet operators and stakeholders. This workshop aims to build capacity by equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to enable accelerated transition of their road logistics to Zero Emissions.

The capacity building workshop on 'ZETs in India: Building Capacity, Driving Impact' is being organised by Climate Group in partnership with the Centre of Excellence on Zero Emission Trucking (CoEZET), IIT Madras and pManifold business solutions as technical partner.
